Dreams come true

Have you ever had a dream that you thought would never come true? For a few years now, Courtney and I have been dreaming about having our own business and location. We’ve dreamt about different concepts and created different menus. We’ve wrote things on paper and tried to come up with ways to make it happen. But nonetheless, a small part of us thought, this may never happen.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

But God knows our desires. He knows our dreams and wishes. Because He puts them in us. Not to tease us with something that may never happen. But to show us what He is capable of.

Within the last couple of weeks some amazing doors have opened up for Courtney and I to open up our own business. We are so excited, blessed but more than anything blown away at what God is doing and how fast it has happened. It went from a dream swept underneath the rug to “HOLY COW let’s get to work!”

The Hamptons are moving to San Angelo! Yes, we are extremely sad to leave family and dear friends that have become our family but we can’t deny these doors that have opened up for us and we know that this is the right time. We are very thankful for everyone’s support and encouragement that you have shown us throughout the years. We are thankful for all of the love and prayers you have given us and our sweet boys. We love you all more than you know.

Happy 1 week!

I can’t believe it’s been one week since our little miracle baby was born. Sometimes I wish time would just stop so I could just stare at his sweet face all day.

February 14, 2017 at 7:51 am our little family of 3 officially became Hampton Party of Four. Xander Lee Hampton weighing 8lbs 5 ounces and 19 1/2″ long was born.

When we had Caleb, my delivery experience was not so pleasant and there is so much from that evening that I don’t remember. I wish that I could have captured more of it to go back and remember those sweet moments. This time around I wanted to take it all in but I also knew with a c-section I wouldn’t have the luxury to see everything.

A sweet friend of mine came into the delivery room with Courtney and I and captured this amazing morning. So thankful for her and our friendship. And I’m so incredibly grateful that she was able to be there on this very special day!

Happy 1 week birthday little guy! 💙

A season of remembrance….

This week has been a week of fresh air. After discovering the results of the MRI (see previous post) and battling horrible thoughts and fighting a road that could lead to depression, anger and fear, I felt a tug from God telling me to remember.
(My dialogue with God)

Remember what Lord?
Remember that I am the Great I am.

Remember that I am the Great Physician.

Remember that I am the Ultimate Healer.

Remember that I am the Creator of all things.

Remember that I love you, and your children more than you could ever love them.

Remember that I have formed Xander in your womb.
But also, remember all that I have already done for you.

Remember everything that you have been through and everything that you have come out of.

Remember that I have rescued you.
And remember not what I have done just for you, but what I have done for others.

From the beginning of time, I have preformed miracles of healing and provision.

I have rescued the Israelites from slavery.

I rescued Daniel from the Lions den.
God never promised us an easy life. And to be honest, sometimes situations that come our way just straight up suck. But what He did promise us is that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He promised us that He would be by our side till the end of time. And he promised to be our comforter.
Sometimes, it just takes a moment to sit back and remember who God is. He has a beautiful journey in store for us. Sometimes we just have to remember how far we have come, in order to move forward.
Shout out to my hubby who no matter what the circumstance is, can always put a smile on my face ❤️ especially over some apple pie!

I’m not sure if you’ll find anyone more obsessed with mason jars than me! I mean, it truly is a problem. One that seems to be rubbing off on my husband too. These jars are everywhere in our home, from our fridge to pantry to the bedrooms.

So of course I had to celebrate them today on #MasonJarMondays! Here are just a few ways that they are used at our home. How do you use them?
